I "discovered" Analee Newitz while following a search trail one day. She is interesting and a talented writer. This is a scholarly work. Definitely worth the read.

I am a research librarian at an entertainment law firm in LA. No, I don't eat granola and the sun doesn't shine here all the time.
I was born and raised in LA. I went to school in LA. I like to visit other places, but I like living in LA.
I've done a lot of stuff in my life and I'm grateful that I've had the chance to meet and speak with people most folks only get to read about in history books. I have come to realize, slowly, that we don't just read about history, we make it. We are living the history that the generations that come after us will read about. So let's make it a really good read, eh?
